Body (from Message Center)
We are announcing the ability to assign project categories to on-account transactions, enabling posting to specific financial accounts for improved reporting and transparency in Dynamics 365 Project Operations. This feature will reach general availability on December 26, 2025.
How does this affect me?
Users will be able to categorize on-account transactions, such as customer advances or milestone revenue, to different financial accounts. This allows for more accurate financial reporting and transparency across general ledger and project subledger postings. This feature applies to customers using the ‘Project Operations for manufacturing‘ deployment type.
What action do I need to take?
This message is for awareness, and no action is required.
If you would like more information on this feature, please visit Enable on-account transactions with project category support.
