What and why:
Over the past year, more tools became available to help you restore user productivity quickly. A new scenario-based guide can help you identify and choose the right recovery approach. Scenarios and solutions range from more to less common. Whether you're defending against the next widespread outage or helping a single user get back to work, these capabilities work together to reduce downtime, minimize data loss, and keep your organization productive.
Rollout schedule:
The new guide is already available. All solutions and tools are already available as well.
Impact on your organization:
Windows recovery requires a comprehensive framework matching the right solution to every scenario. From more to less common, the guide includes the following scenarios:
- Individual device issues after an update
- A single malfunctioning component
- A recent isolated issue or widespread device issue
- Persistent device issues after recovery attempts
- Deep OS corruption
- Hardware failure or device unavailability
- Mass-scale outages affecting startup
Each recovery scenario has at least one tool that you can use to remediate the device. The newer solutions include detailed walkthroughs to help you get started.
