Body (from Message Center)

Starting on December 22, 2025, the Power Platform Environment Settings app for Power Platform will become the default experience for managing all environment settings, replacing the legacy Advanced Settings experience.

How does this affect me?
Currently, Advanced Settings under the settings gear in the Power Apps and Power Pages Maker Portals will direct admins to the classic settings management experience on the web. Environment settings links within the Power Platform admin center also currently redirects admins to the legacy experience.

Starting December 22, 2025, these links will instead redirect admins to the new Environment Settings app.

The new Power Platform Environment Settings app offers the following improvements:
  • Unified Management: Streamlined experience for creating and managing environment settings.
  • Role-Based Access: Available to system administrators and system customizers by default with options to grant additional roles.
  • Preserves Extensions: Any existing extensions from Advanced Settings are retained and displayed in the new app.
