In April 2026, we updated how storage is reported in Dataverse, moving solution-aware components and metadata from the database tier to the file tier. This change has no impact on apps, flows, solutions, or integrations.

We recommend admins sign in to the Power Platform admin center and navigate to Resources and then Capacity to review Database, File, and Log usage at the tenant and environment level, especially if trending near the file entitlement.

- Database storage is lower by the amount previously attributed to this content.
- File storage is proportionally higher.
- Total tenant storage is unchanged. Content moved tiers; it did not grow.
- If you were near your database limit, you likely have more headroom.
- If you were near your file limit, confirm you have sufficient file capacity; additional capacity is available via add-on.
