Starting early July 2025 through late November 2025, videos embedded via Stream in Microsoft Viva Amplify and SharePoint News will play inline within Microsoft Outlook (Windows and web), eliminating the need to open a browser. This feature is enabled by default with no admin action required.

Coming soon: Videos embedded using the Stream webpart in Microsoft Viva Amplify publications and Microsoft SharePoint News pages will play inline in emails in new Microsoft Outlook for Windows desktop and Microsoft Outlook for the web. Users will be able to watch videos in Outlook without leaving Outlook to watch videos that open in a web browser.

General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will begin rolling out early July 2025 and expect to complete by late November 2025 (previously early September).
