Moving to Windows 11, version 25H2 is as easy as a quick restart if you’re on version 24H2! Today, Windows 11, version 25H2 became available to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. In the second half of 2025, it will be broadly available through an enablement package (eKB). Learn how this technology simplifies feature updates for your scenario. Note that a fresh support cycle begins on the date of general availability.

June 27, 2025: Windows 11, version 25H2 became available to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel.
Second half of 2025: Windows 11, version 25H2 will be broadly available.

Help keep your organization protected and productive with Windows 11, version 25H2. Moving to it from Windows 11, version 24H2 is as quick as a single restart thanks to the shared servicing branch. The normal update process is the best option if you’re moving from earlier versions of Windows 11 or Windows 10.

What you need to do to prepare:

If you manage devices on versions earlier than Windows 11, version 24H2, consider upgrading them to Windows 11, version 24H2 first. This way, you can take advantage of a simple update to Windows 11, version 25H2 through an enablement package (eKB). Otherwise, just follow your normal feature update process, using Windows Update or Windows Autopatch.
